Summer (November – March)
Summer in Nambiti Private Game Reserve transforms the landscape into a lush, green paradise. This is a season of new life — newborn antelope finding their footing, birds in full breeding plumage, and dramatic afternoon thunderstorms rolling across the horizon. The bush feels alive, vibrant, and full of energy.
With warmer temperatures, it’s also the perfect time to enjoy the swimming pool and long, lazy afternoons at the lodge. While the rains bring beauty and renewal, they can be unpredictable — adding a touch of drama and excitement to the experience.
Autumn (April – May)
As the rains begin to ease, the landscape softens and the intense summer heat gives way to more comfortable, mild temperatures. It’s a beautifully balanced time of year — still green and full of life, but with a calmer, more settled feel.
Game drives are particularly enjoyable during this season, with pleasant weather throughout the day and a gentle golden light that makes every moment in the bush feel just a little more special.
Winter (June – August)
Winter brings a noticeable shift in the landscape. The bush begins to open up, and the vibrant greens of summer give way to softer tones of brown and burnt orange. With less vegetation and limited water sources, wildlife sightings often become easier as animals gather around rivers and waterholes.
Cool, crisp mornings and evenings are balanced by clear, sunny days — perfect for game drives, cosy ponchos, and fireside moments back at the lodge.
Spring (September – October)
Spring in Nambiti Private Game Reserve is a season of renewal. After the dry winter months, new life begins to emerge as fresh greenery pushes through and the bush slowly comes alive again.
Temperatures start to rise, and there’s a tangible sense of anticipation in the air as the reserve prepares for the summer rains. It’s a beautiful time to witness the cycle begin again — subtle, but full of promise.
