Thunderstorms and Leopards

Summer rains! We’ve had about 60mm over the last 3 days with more forecast for this afternoon. We’re grateful for every single drop and so are the plants and all the animals!

The highlight of the week was a leopard sighting on afternoon game drive. Leopard is by far the most elusive of the Big 5 and sightings are few and far between. Our guide and guests were thrilled at getting an opportunity to spend about 10-15 minutes with this elusive cat before it slinked off into a thicket.

Here’s to more rain and many more leopard sightings in the coming months!
