Bushveld Surprises

What a beautiful week it’s been. The bush is lush and green after all the rain we received last week.
It makes spotting animals a bit tricky but the scenic views of the bushveld are just breathtaking.
 
Yesterday 2 Elephant Bulls came down to our watering hole for a drink of water and we’ve had beautiful sightings of the breeding herd too.
 
Earlier this week we had a beautiful sighting of a big Water/Nile Monitor Lizzard crossing the road to make his way to the dam where he lives. It’s the unusual sightings like this that make the bush such a magical place. You never know what is waiting around the next bend!

Excellent hospitality, especially with all the extra protocols to follow. The food was superb, tasty and beautifully presented with good choice and variety. Tasteful, immaculate accommodation which was welcoming and cosy when it was cold. The fire in the main lodge was excellent. Steph took us to lots of great sightings; she shared lots of new interesting facts about animals and the environment.
